Steve Bateman has been the Senior Pastor of First Bible Church, a multi-site church in Decatur and Madison, Alabama, since 1992. He has studied at Columbia International University (B.A.), Dallas Theological Seminary (Th.M.) and Reformed Theological Seminary (D.Min.). He is the author of Which “Real” Jesus?: Jonathan Edwards, Benjamin Franklin and the Early American Roots of the Current Debate (Wipf and Stock, 2008) and Brothers, Stand Firm: Seven Things Every Man Should Know, Practice, and Invest in the Next Generation (Wipf and Stock, 2014). He is a speaker at missions conferences and men’s retreats, as well as a guest professor in seminaries in Eastern Europe. Steve and his wife, Lori, have two married children. Josh is a strength and conditioning coach and is married to Whitney. Joy is a children’s ministry assistant and is married to Sean Conway. He enjoys all sports and competes in mountain bike racing and triathlon. His other interests include the global growth of Christianity, American history, hunting, visiting old cemeteries, SEC football, and growing the perfect tomato.
